Enjoy these recipes and let them transport you back in time to an era when a cocktail was seen as an elegant and necessary part of any day, as it helped make the transition from the work day to the evening hours perfectly pleasant.

4 oz gin

1 oz Blue Curaçao

1 cherry
Pour ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry.

2 oz gin

5 oz tonic water

1 lime wedge
Fill a collins glass with ice cubes and pour gin and tonic water. Squeeze lime wedge over drink and drop into glass.

1 oz gin

1 oz cherry brandy

1 oz lemon juice

1/2 oz grenadine

Club soda

Orange slice and a maraschino cherry
Mix gin, brandy, lemon juice and grenadine in a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Strain into a collins glass filled with ice. Top with club soda. Garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry.
